Vision
A digital platform meant to:
- Strengthen sense of connection and community throughout the week.
- Keep everyone up to date on opportunities, big and small, to get involved in the life of our church.
What to Expect
- Announcements: Quick updates on church-wide events. (About 2 messages per week. More during seasonal events like Easter or VBS.)
- Groups: Each WhatsApp group has a unique purpose, ground rules for engagement and serves specific needs. (For instance, we have groups for men, women, young adults, and parents at our church.)
What is WhatsApp
WhatsApp is a phone application (like a tool) you install on your phone.

1. Relational Values
- Live out relational values (honor, humility, healthy relationships, hospitality) of our church, in the way we speak and engage with one another in the group.
- Help cultivate a space that honors Jesus with edifying speech.
- Share photos/videos that are in alignment with our relational values.
2. Chat Purpose
As much as possible, those within groups are asked to stick to the respective chat group’s purpose.
3. Selling
No selling things in any groups.
4. Hot Button Issues
This is not a space to discuss hot-button issues (e.g. sensitive topics, politics), that are best to discuss in-person.
5. Church-Related Policies
Since these are church-related groups, please honor policies (e.g. not inviting people to drink alcohol), for church-related activities.
6. Safe Space
In the case a group is a “safe space” (in which sensitive things are shared) such as may be the case in a men’s or women’s ministry group chat, please do not disclose sensitive info outside that chat.
7. Longer Conversation
Avoid long side conversations in group chats. Feel free to connect, but move extended back-and-forth to private messages.
8. Age
We ask only individuals 18+ in age join our church's WhatsApp.
