When I think about our community I think of the the Act 2 Community:
“42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:42-47)

We believe that church meets two times a week first in intentional small group community and on Sunday in corporate intergenerational community.

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." ~ Isaiah 61:1-3

The idea of Anointing is rich in the Scriptures, and it is very deeply tied with God using His people for His kingdom purposes. In 1 Samuel 16, David, the smallest and youngest of his brothers, is anointed king of Israel. The Spirit of the Lord falls on him, empowering him to live out his kingly destiny. In Luke 4, Jesus proclaims that he is anointed to preach good news to the poor, bringing freedom to captives and healing to the hurting.

As Anointed Section of Lifegroups, we want to walk in the anointing God has given us to love God and people. Above all else, we want to worship and know God whole-heartedly. We want to be people that hear His voice and obey.

We believe that all believers carry this anointing. God can use the weakest, smallest, and humblest of people to bring about His purposes and redemption in this world. Therefore we as broken people being healed by Jesus come together in order to spur one another on in faith and ministry. Furthermore, we believe we are anointed to carry this blessing to all peoples. We want to see our campus, our city, and the nations changed!

Whether you've been a Christian all your life or doubt the existence of God, you are welcome to the Anointed section of Lifegroups. We will do our best to love you and treat you as Christ would, and we'll challenge you to dive deeper into your faith journey no matter where you are.
