Week 3, Day 4 | Philippians 3:17-19

Philippians 3:17-19 [hyperlink]

Join Together

Devotional:
Paul encourages the church in Philippi, not only to follow in his example of pursuing Christ, but to actually join together in following. Following God is not meant to be a solo activity, but we are meant to pursue the Lord in the joys and challenges of community. Joining together is not always easy; in fact, it can get pretty messy at times. But there are also moments where we can rejoice and be glad. There are ups and downs in togetherness, but it is in God’s wisdom that we journey through those ups and downs with one another.

Questions:
  • What stands out to you from today's text?
  • Who are you grateful to have in your life? Reach out to 2 or 3 people and thank them for being present in your life.
  • What are ways that God may be encouraging or challenging you to lean into community?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for intentionally placing people around my life. When I feel like going at things alone, remind me that I am not. Help me grow in joining together with others, but also, help this community grow in togetherness. Amen.
