Dear Epicentre Family,

As we prepare to commemorate Jesus’ death and resurrection this week, we want to thank you for being such a great church family and community, especially this last month as we have navigated an intense and uncertain time in our nation and across the globe.  In times of crisis and uncertainty, it’s always comforting and true that God is the same and the Body of Christ shines the brightest with a hope that is certain and unwavering - and that’s what our world needs today!

We have a few highlights we want to share with you this week:
  • Good Friday - Join your life group, home church or gather with other Epicentre friends to remember the death of Jesus on Good Friday. A 30-minute Video Guided Reflection is available to lead you into reflecting on Jesus’ last day on earth as a human being. A special version of the guide for communities that have families with 3rd-5th graders can also be found in the same link. We’ll take communion together, so prepare whatever it is that you have,  bread, crackers, juice, etc, before you gather.
  • Easter Sunday -  Join us on Home Church Live on Sunday at 10 AM for our Easter Sunday celebration!  We encourage you to invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join you virtually for this special celebration.
  • Special Easter Offering - This Sunday’s offering will go to benefit Huntington Hospital and Union Station Homeless Services as an Easter offering to the Lord. We have chosen these two organizations because they serve the most vulnerable and those with urgent needs in the city of Pasadena during this pandemic season. Through practical giving, we want to see the caring heart of God come to the city of Pasadena. You may give here and choose “2020 Easter” in the drop-down menu.
  • Serve Pasadena - We have been lining up opportunities to serve vulnerable populations in our city. Starting next week we will be able to place people to serve meals for PUSD students, and more opportunities will be coming soon. Sign up and be updated on new opportunities at
  • PUSD Schools Closure - PUSD announced that their school facilities will be closed until at least the end of June. What that means for us is that we will not be able to return to Marshall for Sunday services for a while. We encourage you to join a Home Church group if you are not already in one, so you can stay connected to and supported by the Epicentre family during this time.

In closing, we want to bless you with the love, hope, and peace of Jesus.  As we continue to navigate a new normal, we know there are times when our hearts feel overwhelmed. It is okay to cry, to stop for a breath, especially this weekend. Jesus, who bore unfathomable anguish, is with you. There is a Saturday between Good Friday and Easter … but we know that New Life overcame death. We are praying that the hope of resurrection power will support you even as we live in the tension of the “not yet”.
