WELCOME TO EPICENTRE!
Epicentre is a multi-ethnic church family in Pasadena, California, a place where all are welcome to call home.
WHO WE ARE
At Epicentre we’re passionate about Jesus and participating in His mission to restore people all over the world to their rightful place as daughters and sons of God.
Geologically, an epicenter is the point on the earth’s surface directly above the focus of an earthquake where its effects are the strongest. As a church, we desire to be right in the midst of where God is already moving and shaking so as to make His purposes known and to help others encounter the love of Jesus.
WHAT TO EXPECT
What should I expect when I first show up?
We meet every Sunday at 9 AM & 11 AM in the gymnasium at Marshall Fundamental School which is located in Pasadena, CA. As you approach the gymnasium from the South Lot accessed from Allen Ave just north of Mountain Ave (where parking for our first-time guests are located!), you’ll see several things outside!:
at the Connections Center tent and entrance, our friendly greeters will welcome you and they’ll help you with any questions you may have
the Kingdom Kids tent and kiosk are where you meet our children’s ministry staff and team members to check in your child(ren), ages infant to 5th grade, to then dismiss after our time of worship
During the service, we’ll sing songs to Jesus, dismiss our children to Kingdom Kids ministry, listen to a relevant message from the Bible, and respond in prayer to our day’s message. Overall, the service lasts about 90 minutes long.
Feel free to stay after our 9AM service and before our 11AM and get to know others over conversation and donut holes in the gym entrance.
What should I wear?
Come dressed as you are! Some of our folks dress up, but most show up dressed casually.
What's the music like?
We're led each week by a band that consists of various contemporary instruments—keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, etc. Our goal with our music is ultimately to be singing songs that enable us to come to God and declare to our Lord and Savior Jesus His worth and how we love Him. If you’d like to find out more about how we worship musically, check out our Epicentre Spotify channel.
Will I be asked to give money?
Every week we take up an offering. However, if it's your first time with us, you are in no way obligated to give. It's entirely your choice. More than anything, we just want to help you find a place to connect with God.
If you want to call Epicentre your church home, then we believe giving financially to God and His church is a part of how we worship Him as a family by choosing to trust God with all things, finances included. Find out how you can give here.
What's the overall environment like?
We are definitely a friendly bunch here at Epicentre. We strive to make you feel welcome and help you connect with God and others. We understand that going to any place new can be uncomfortable, which is why we try very hard to help you feel at home while you're with us.
Will I be singled out if I'm new?
Not at all! You're our guest! Every week there are people who visit Epicentre for the first time. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable when you attend. Feel free to visit our Connections Center so we can meet you and you can meet our welcome team and receive a gift.
